Default adding subs to 2012 scab

When it comes to audio i dont know much about it, i want to add a couple kicker cvr10 subs under the rear seat, i found the subs and sub box i want to go with but i want to retain the factory head unit because i want to keep sync, steering wheel controls and i have the apperance pkg with the black brushed dash cover and i dont want to have the cover not match or cut the existing one. I was recomended to use an SOEM-T to keep the stock HU and a DX500.1 kicker amp for the subs. Other than the install wire kit is there anything else i would need for this set up? Is the amp big enough for the subs?
Thanks for any info in advance.

should be fine with that amp just make sure the ohm ratings on both speakers and amp match otherwise you could have issues with over heating amp. as for wiring i wouldnt use anything smaller then a 4 guage power and ground wire with at least an 80 amp fuse in the power wire, also run rcas down opposite side of truck then power wire to eliminate any whining noise in speakers. im running 2 8" jl w0 with a rockford fosgate 500a2 amp on stock head unit and it sounds perfect

I actually just got everything in last night except for the fox box so once I get the box in I'll try to get everything together. I noticed that with the dual voice coils on the cvr10 it can be wired in series for an 8 ohm load or parallel for for a 2 ohm load would you happen to know which set up would be better for my zx400.1 kicker amp?

Depends on ohm rating on amp. Running a different resistance could overheat the amp and shut it down from time to time. I had this issure in an old truck of mine and amp ended up bowing from always overheating.

2 CompVR10s or 1?

Either way, you need to run it at 2 ohms. You'll be pushing like 50W at 8 ohms. Amp's rated at 200W at 4 ohms and 400W at 2 ohms.

how does your set up sound and could you post some pics. I am thinkging of putting a sub or subs in my scab. I am in the same boat as you want to keep my stock HU.

It sounds great I was a little nervous using only one 10" because I had two twelves in my old truck but my buddies and I were pretty surprised when we got it all hooked up one even said it was louder than his two twelves. I'll post some pics up as soon as I get a chance. My final set up was 1 kicker cvr 10 4 ohm wired for two ohm load, a kicker zx400.1, the single 10" fox box sub box, and the PAC soem-t to keep the stock hu. Hook up was pretty easy Too
