8" powered sub recommendations
Looking to add a 8" powered sub behind the seats of a 2012 crew cab. Would like to keep my rear floor open for when the seats are folded up to allow for more stuff to be piled back there!! I'm currently looking a a few shallow mount subs that ought to fit back there no problem, just wanted to see if any of you fellas have done the same and have any feedback good or bad for this installation. Links to a few that i've been looking at.

I bought the Kenwood from amazon that you linked. I have had it a few weeks but have not had time to install it. Should get to it this week and will update post after installation. Plan is to mount it behind the rear seat back in a 06 Ext Cab.

I've ordered a JL Audio ACP108LG-W3v3 and am planning to install next week in my 2015 SuperCrew Lariat. Still not 100% certain it'll fit behind the rear passenger seat, but I'm going to try!

My needs are very simple. I wanted to enhance the sound of my Maestro kit with the Kenwood DNX892. Also I didn't want any space sacrificed on the floor so like many I went behind the seat in stealth mode. The Sound Ordnance I purchased had a ton of reviews that were good. It was on sale from Crutchfield at the time which was a bonus..Also a simple Pioneer 4 channel that has a pass through was used as well.
The result is fantastic... to my ears anyway. Nice volume and the bottom end is filled in nicely. Although its functional the install not done yet I've included a pic in progress.

Yes its a Screw. Its my first install so I'm taking my time to get it right and minimize dumb mistakes. First on my list was to make sure I could get the seats back up and locked without crushing the equipment.

Glad to hear you like the added low frequency...sub looks pretty low profile to me, 3" maybe. Anyway good looking install. As soon as I get around to ordering mine i'm going to do the same

Confirmed: the JL Audio ACP108LG-W3v3 does fit behind the rear driver side passenger seat in a 2015 F-150 SuperCrew. It sits a little cockeyed on the side closest to the center of the cab because there's a bolt down there that pushes it up, but it doesn't impact the seat's natural ability to latch back.
Bonus: it fits completely flush and snug with the seat latched, so you won't have to bolt, velcro, or otherwise strap the box in. When the seat is latched, the box is as snug as you'd ever want it.
I did bend/ding the lower part of the sub's grill moving it around initially, so be careful when slotting it down for those who buy one.
Going to start the wiring process later this week.
