expanding foam will work its just really messy and you cant ever really get rid of it all, on my truck i have the whole inner door skin covered except for where the clips go, i even covered the holes to remove the window as well, i also have the entire outer door skin covered with 2 layers

I have 6x8 - 6.5 adapter plates from scorpion and Image Dynamics 6.5" set and can't for the life of me figure this out! The basket on the rear of the mid range is too wide to fit through the hole in the plate and none of the mounting holes in the midrange match any holes in the adapter.....HELP

Made my own a few months back, worked great. 3/4 Mdf, and sprayed some cheap bed liner on top

Are the front door speakers from the Sony 700w system, full range or are they filtered at the oem head unit

Not all adapters are a one size fit all. Sounds like you need to get a jig saw and make the plate hole larger and then screwing the new speaker to it should be simple
