When u say rear passenger seat... do u mean rear seat in general or does the box have to be on the passenger side???
I went with a fox box under the rear seat on the driver side with an infinity ref 10"... SSL 1200watt amp under the rear seat on the passenger side and a generic 4 gauge wiring kit and it ran me around 250 after taxes and shipping.
Its not as loud as some of the JL stuff that I've heard but it definitely hits hard. Wasn't completely impressed at first but now that the sub is broken in, I couldn't be happier

I love the fox box... sounds amazing. 0.8cf air space is perfect for most full size 10in subs and the mounting depth can't be matched. You can fit just about any 10" sub in there with noproblems...
As for my setup, the sound that is produced is amazing. Tight deep bass that rattles the mirrors and door pannels when its cranked up and it still sounds clean. I would attribute most of the sound quality to how well the box is built in conjunction with the air space it provides... as for the other components... cheap amp, semi decent sub and a generic amp kit... paired with a great enclosure, I couldn't be happier.

Honestly, I think it depends on what 10in kicker you go with... SSL amp said that it is a 1200 watt amp but I think that is greatly exaggerated. I have the amp briged to one channel running my infinity sub and I have the gain set almost to Max and I think my sub could take quite a bit more...
As for the kicker series...
Kicker Comp 150w rms 300w max- I think it would push the 4 ohm version to the Max (maybe even a little too much so if u go this route, don't crank the gain right off the bat or u may be buying another sub)
Kicker Comp VR 400w rms 800w max- I think the amp would push the 4ohm version nicely however the sub could probably take a little more power...
Kicker Comp VT- similar to the VR but its a shallow mount... I think this sub may also be a little under powered.
The sub I am pushing is 275w rms. 1100w peak... I keep the gain set almost to max on the amp and it is crystal clear at 70% volume on my head unit... if I set the gain any higher it starts to become distorted... so, my conclusion is that the kicker comp 4ohm sub would sound great if you don't Max the amp out... I think the Vr'sand VT's would hit harder and u could push the amp farther but I still think they may be slightly underpowered.
Sorry for the long post, but I hope this helps
