ohms dont have anything to do with "low hertz bass" ohms measure electrical resistance. deep bass needs surface area aka cone area 1 single 10 is not likely to get low and loud. but 2 sundown d2 10s in that fox box should sound pretty dang good. could do jl w3 in there too just depends what you want to spend really. but the way ohms work is you figure what subs you want then you find a amp that can run said subs and then you wire them to the correct ohms.

All depends on your amp and sub power handling. Dual 2 ohm VCs can be run as 1 ohm or 4 ohm load. Dual 4 ohm VCs can be run as 2 or 8 ohm. Your amp will normally make the most power (although at higher distortion) when powering a lower load. Amps will also have a minimum safe load you will need to consider.

Ohms and voice coils have nothing to do with the sound of the subwoofer.

Read here http://www.crutchfield.com/S-EoI59eW...mplifiers.html.

I'd also definitely post here on the forum with your planned purchase before you pull the trigger so you can get some input. There are some knowledgeable guys here.

The FOX BOX is designed to take full sized subs but it WILL NOT take the beating the RE AuDio, FI, or sundown puts out..

Personal experience..

You need to find a customizer..

I ran 2 4ohm 10 inch RE Audios wired to 1ohm at 1200w... Sounded damn good and loud till the box started rattling from the inside..

12's will get lower and deeper.. Best bet will be to buy a sub/box combo like JL Audio straight from the factory..

Haha I didn't know the Fox box couldn't handle big boy subs lol. That's good to know cause I was thinking about getting one till I could build my own saved me whatever one of those cost lol.

Not to thread jack but how much flex was you getting and did you have to change any electronic parts of the truck?

Nope.. Wont handle it.. I hear they do good with shallows...

Maybe 2" of sub flex... No upgrade to electrical other than a 5farad hybrid cap
