Sorry, super cab here.

Got any pics of behind your seat? How much space is there?

I'm looking into this now... they finally released a double din dash kit last week. Should be getting my parts in next week. I have a jl microsub with dual 8s that sounded great in my 14 super cab... I loosely fit it but need to find a way to secure it in my 16 reg cab.
Only guessing but not to many regular cabs 15+ have upgraded the systems. We don't even have rear speakers like the prior gen.
I too have been scouring the net on info, so possibly you and I will be the reg cab pioneers for sound upgrade??..if anyone else has gone this route...feel free to add with info and pics please

Yeah im kinda shocked these SCSB look great in this body style, I was actually at the dealer about to buy a crew can fx4 when I drove past this sport single cab, and fell in love like a blonde after 8 or 9 beers lol

Ill have to take some tomorrow, I think i can relocate my tire jack and use the location behind the passenger seat. I use this to drive to work and around town so i can afford to push the seat forward a little

Here's a pic of the JL micro sub... fits pretty well behind the seat with a couple inches to spare with the seat all the way back... the rear liner for some reason stickss out about 2 inches off the rear wall.. I'll probably cut into it to leave some room in this tiny area.... it's not mounted yet... gonna need some time and money for a new head unit... have a kenwood nav was in my attic.. got broken while looking thru the pile of stuff

Pioneer 10 inch subs in my 2016.
Model # TS-SWX2502 I also went with Pioneer speakers in the stock holes plus add 2 more.
Went with MTX amps this time and been happy with them.
If I was redoing it i think less might be my choice.
Less as in just two 8 inch subs and smaller amps.
Barely using any of their potential and will pound crazy hard.
Running an MTX TP2/650D to each sub.
But realize 1 amp split to power both subs would be plently.

Did you run a amp to the added door and dash speakers? Or did you use the stock power for the factory speakers, also what about the 2 small tweeters in the pillars
