2015 stereo install, now thumping
hey guys,
I recently updated my sound system in my XLT. Replaced the door speakers, added a small amp that uses high level inputs. (Clarion XC1420). I didnt notice at first, but now i do. I have a thumping when the doors first open and also after the truck is turned off.
Im thinking a power issue, possibly with remote wire which is wired into the cigarette power source. The thumping is about 4-5 quick thumps from the front speakers.
Any ideas?

It could be that the remote wire power source isn't high enough voltage. Try using another wire source. Also make sure the wire you are using is at least 18 gauge.
