Im having my 16 Platinum done on Tuesday and the setup is similar to your except my front speakers and tweets are Hertz Hi Energy and my backs my question is do you still have the fake engine sound and did you disconnect the center channel?

That is right. There are a few threads on here where a couple guys went through the molex with success but once I inspected myself, I wasn't comfortable with how the wire would be sitting against the sheet metal of the body. As for tapping it at the molex from the inside, that would be very challenging because it is extremely difficult to get to the molex from inside the vehicle. It really is a lot easier if you do it right by the amp.
