2015 F150 Lariat Sony upgrade

Thank you!
The actual sub I wanted was Sundown SD10 D3, so I had a custom box built at another dealer who carried Sundown. But the person who did the install was not able to make Sundown sound good, so he was trying another sub. In the end we found out the sealed Sundown enclosure was leaking and fixed it. And it sounds really good.

Staging is pretty good, the vocals feel like they are coming from the dash. May be because the midrange is ankled a bit higher towards the cabin.
Ideally I would have liked to have the midrange in the dash or A pillar, but I decided to keep the stock look just incase I want to change the vehicle later.
I feel like I didn't lose much in this setup.

I second this question. I had a 13 with no molex connectors and a similar setup as you. Just got a 15 platinum. So need to figure out how to tackle the molex connectors
P.S. I have the arc 1200.6 and love it. As well as the Sundown SD-3. Mine is in a ported fox box and sounds great (ported isn't recommended for these subs but I loved it so much I just kept it).

This is the reply I got from the installer, sorry for the delay.
"Basically we drilled a hole for a grommet like 2/3 of the way in the hole for the factory connector, then put a grommet and pushed the connector in.So the connector holds the grommet in".

Looks great I tossed my Sony system and made my own as well! Had custom brackets made to fit larger Focal doors speakers + what you see in the pics. Custom rhino lined and CNCd box with ford logo as well. How many watts are you bumping now?

Thank you, I am trying to understand exactly what they mean - I just need to get out there and inspect a little when I get some free time. I need to do so anyway to start planning my build. Need to inspect the molex connectors and also find where I'm going (if I'm going) to be able to push 1/0 through the firewall.

I think you carefully need to drill a hole just like in this post in DIYMA.
