No Backup Camera Picture After Aftermarket Stereo Install
Hello all!
I had purchased all the equipment and such I needed back in March/April to do my first custom audio install after some motivation from several of the forum members here. I went in a little over my head and got a DSP that I didn't know how to use so I ended up paying a local installer who has great reviews and has worked with high end clients in the area. He does SEMA builds and so on. As I was backing out of his work bay, I noticed that the backup camera wasnt showing a picture, it just showed a generic image of the truck with sensors. This has never happened before. It was working fine when I dropped it off to him. The truck is a 2016 XLT SCREW w/ nav. I'm not sure that it matters but 2 amps, 2 tweeters, 2 front and 2 rear speakers and 2 subwoofers were installed.
Originally I had just used posi taps so i didnt have to cut any wiring behind the head unit. He ended up redoing all my work and soldered everything instead of tapping. While I was there he checked the fuses (he didnt tap the fuse that is for the camera) and all were fine. He pulled the dash apart and checked to ensure all connections were solid and nothing was unplugged. He pulled the interior plate of the tailgate and made sure the backup camera was plugged securely. We went through the settings on the dash and didn't see anything to enable or disable the camera, just a delay or something of that nature.
I am at a loss here. Hoping to find a solution before having to take it to the dealership because I assume they will blame the install which is why i didnt want to cut any wires in the first place.
I appreciate any and all help,
Thank You,
Ryan

All stinger rca/power/ground/distribution blocks. Hybrid audio L6v2 front drivers, l1 pro tweeters, I61-2v2 rear coaxial. Infitnity reference 8 subs x2. Helix DSP.2. Alpine pdx-f4 and pdx-v9 amps. I will note the installer said the v9 worked well at first but then one channel died so the front stage is ran off the 4 channel then rear and subs off 5 channel. Ground is ran to the frame. 2016 f150 xlt screw
