Did you just cut out the carpet at floor level along the line of the folded-down seat? Or did you go any further underneath the seat cutting it out?

I didn't cut the carpet at all. Just the padding. I folded back the carpet to take a picture of the prep work. I folded the carpet back when I installed the box.

Whew, good thing I asked first...I was a bit worried about having to cut carpet, but that was on my 'to do' list today, along with taking out the carpet panel on the rear behind the seats!

Nice box! Quick question, I see the new amp being for the sub, but what is the sony amp used for? Thanks, Danny

The Sony amp is the stock amp. It powers all the speakers in the truck including the sub that was replaced.

Looks like great work. Any updates on sound improvements? Are you planning on upgrading the stock speakers in the doors and up front too?
