2014 Kenwood Radios and Maestro Ford Solution Update

Actually the GPS losing map data is quite common with the 2013 Kenwood units. Unfortunately Kenwood doesn't have the means (or chooses not?) to fix it unless you send in your head unit to one of their 4 (or so) service centers throughout the US. Was told a month turn around time if I decided to send it in...way too long of a period without anything in my truck.

Thanks 12V Guy, this is some of the stuff I have been waiting for. A couple additional questions. Which of the non-nav models will still be capable of showing the additional vehicle information screens like gauges and tire pressure? Any word on release dates of the new HU's?

FO2 is a software and T-harness solution FOR the Maestro module. It will work similar to the FO1 (the current software and T-harness for older trucks). However, there are some differences in the new version of Sync and so call logs and phone book access, and even getting access to 4 lines of meta data in USB media player do not work. We are trying to work around the limitations of the system to enhance it as best we can.
As for dash kits, I don't know what the other kit makers are planning. We are working on our own dash kit, but it will be at least 4 months until we can talk about it seriously.
Cheers,

The software is in alpha testing now. Should be in beta in July. Harnesses are in production. We expect to release our solution towards the end of summer and our dash kit 30-60 days later.

I bought a 2014 dnx771hd and I am having issues. The radio works fine, the speakers get sound and the head unit is working, but the steering wheel controls are not working and the head unit is not receiving any of the maestros data from the OBD. I assume it is a wiring issue, but I can't be certain. The maestro unit has a blinking red led though and I know it should be green

Any prototype pics or anything that can be released now about the dash kit? Id like to know what its going to look like. Hope it will be an improvement over the Metra or Schoche that I have seen.
