Default 2014 FX4 W/SonyNav More Volume

Hey All,

So I'm new to the forum but have spent many hours reading previous postshere.

So as the title says i have a 2014 FX4 with the Sony/Nav and I'm desiring alittle more. Clarity in the system seems fine, it’s the volume or lack thereofthat I want to address.

I am on a tight budget and looking for the best solutions.

Currently I have 4 Kicker 41KS684's on order and will be putting those inalong with dynamiting the doors. But I am assuming I will want more once that’sdone.

Options that I'm thinking of:

1- Alpine mrx-V70 and then down the road replace the stock sub

2- Alpine KTP-445U or Clarion XC1410 and then a powered sub down the road

3- Alpine KTP-445U or Clarion XC1410 and XC1110 mini amps

What my issues are:

Is knowing where to get signal from?

Where the mini amps need to be tapped in? In the center console right inplace of the stock amp?

How could I retain the center dash speaker if going to a new amp?

What if any wiring harnesses are available? sounds like the Metra BT-5520won't work on the 2013/2014?

Do I need a Signal Processor like the LC2i sub only or LC6i with eitherinstall?

Will I maintain full HU functions like front/rear, right/left control?

If I do the V70 with the speaker Level inputs do I need to or would it be recommendedto also use the LC6i

I Really appreciate any advice I can get on this.

Cheers!

Because you have a Sony you will need to get your signal for the new amp after the old factory amp. The signal before that is digital. Many threads on upgrading the Sony system. The sound processor is an option. No wiring harness is available. You will need to cut and reattach wires.
