2014 audio question
Wanting to hook my amp back up to my jl door speakers like I had in my 2011. Well the Pac I had doesn't fit my 2014. I've done some research and i couldn't find anyone that makes something similar to that for a 2014. Anyone have any info on how I can hook it back up or if there is a different wiring harness? i have sync with the small screen. Thanks.

There is no simple answer. Youre either going to have to cut the factory speaker wires or build a harness like described in the thread i linked to. The PAC unit wont work on the 13 and 14 with the screen, and I dont know if they are planning a solution for us. They didnt even know their unit wouldnt work until I contacted them

If you tap in youll have to run all new speaker wire into the doors. Depending on whether you have molex connectors at the doors thats difficult. If you were just adding a sub I'd say tap, but since you are wanting to amp your doors I would look at getting a harness. That way you can use the factory wires going into the doors

Lots of people connect back into the factory speaker wires to get into the doors. Much easier than running new wires, especially if you have molex connectors to deal with. The way i understand it Dearborn built trucks have molex while Kansas City trucks dont
