Default 2013 XLT Basic w/Sync question

I replaced the front and rear speakers and it made a world of difference.
(JL Audio C5 570s front, Kenwood Excelon KCF-X683Cs rear).
Now I want to amp the speakers (and run a sub).
I bought a PAC, but have seen mixed results on if it will work on the XLT with sync, and steering wheel controls. It works on the STX, but that system is different than the one on the XLT. I think the easiest solution would be to just run new wires and send the old ones to LOCs and to the amp, then back out to the speakers. But.... do the front 6x8s get a full signal, or is there a crossover in the factory amp that drives both the tweets and 6x8s?
Any other ideas on making sure I get the right signals to the amp?

What you need is the wiring diagram and I just happen to have it.

Just hook the output wires to the amp and run new wire back to the speakers, you will be amplifying the stock output which will work just fine, I'm planning to do the same thing with just my rear speakers because they are rather anemic.

Thanks! That indicates that the tweets and front 6x8s are in parallel, and full signal. That means I should be able to just run the front 6x8s through LOCs, to the amp, then send the amp'd signal back to the crossover where it will split for tweets and 6x8s.

There is no crossover. Just a cap to keep the low signals out of the tweeters.

The crossover came with my JL C5s.

I have a 2010 with the 6 disc CD changer and sync (no Sony or nav). I used the
PAC AOEM-FRD24. I ran the RCAs and the blue turn on lead back to my Alpine FRP-300 4 channel amp. I ran speaker wires back to the harness and tied into the fronts speaker wires on the PAC harness. (cut the wires to ensure nothing gets back to the head). I bridged the rear channel and run a 10" RF sub in a homemade box. The rear speakers are driven off the head unit (barely audible but I don't sit in the back). It works great! I have ordered a Alpine MRP-500 so I can run all four speakers off the 4 channel amp and the sub off its own dedicated amp and soon will have even better sound . If you are going to run wire for an amp step up to 4 gauge in case you ever decide to run two amps in the future.

have you tried to install your PAC AOEM-FRD24 in your 2013 xlt? Does it work with this system being that its different than the stx and previous year models.
Ive been looking at the Audison Bit10 and JBL MS8. But I already have a DSP so really I just need the OEM interface. Was considering the Audio Control LC6i, but if the PAC will work, that would be the cheaper way to go.

I haven't done the PAC yet and I probably won't. I think I'll just go through LOCs direct from the speakers. It seems just as easy, and no real risk of screwing up SYNC, steering controls, etc.

So what you are going to try to do is tap into the speaker leads out of the HU into a line output converter then into your amp?
