Default 2013 STX Scab speaker upgrade

Disclaimer: I am not an audio nut.... But I know the factory speakers are cheapos....

So I am looking for an EASY swap in upgrade... Crutchfield buyers rate these Sony's pretty highly, and this seems like an awesome deal from an Ebay seller..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-New-Sony-XS-GT5738F-5x7-440-Watt-3-Way-Car-Coaxial-Speakers-Stereo-XSGT5738F-/351223755320?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item51c6913238

Would just like to hear some thoughts that I am on the right or wrong track....

Thank yoy

Sony speakers don't have a very good rep with our trucks, I can't elaborate because I don't have them, just what I have observed from others experiences.

I have Polk Audio DB571 in all 4 doors and that was a very nice upgrade by itself from stock.

Agreed. Polk or Infinity for the doors. All are equally simple to install.

If you want to make a HUGE difference in the sound system get an oem Kicker sub, I did and WOW!!! Totally transforms the sound in the cab.

Where I got mine, cheapest on the market.

I've gone with Polk, Infiniti or Alpine in the past; all have been more than acceptable.

I like Alpine. Infinity speakers are too bright for me, and I don't have any experience with Polks. Rockford Fosgates are nice too, I have a pair in my 2004 and they sound great.

I'm happy with my Alpine's. I did 6.5" components in the front and 5x7 in the back
