I have just taken receipt of Infinity Kappas, front and back. The separate 60.11 cs component tweeters up front are 2" diameter.. there will be some plastic disappearing from those A-pillars before long. While the rear door speakers are coax 682.11cf's with a rotating tweeter that allows upward positioning, the fronts are 6 3/4" dia. for the doors and will require a templated adapter. All part of the fun and games.

Got 'em from Sonic.

Most just put the tweeters in the triangle spot on the top of the door panel

I have A pillars with factory tweets. Do the pillars need to be removed to replace/upgrade the tweets? If so, how to I learn more to do that?

Here is where I mounted mine (I bought 2" tweeters that would not fit in the factory spot).

Do you recall where you got your adapter? I just checked with Crutchfield and they do not have an adapter that works with this speaker and the 2104 F150, and I WANT these speakers =]

It's not that hard, you just pull off the rubber channel from the door and the vehicle and fish your wires through there. (You'll have to pull off the speaker to access the door cavity)

That only works on the back doors. The fronts have a plug. I went ahead and spliced into the existing wires to get into the door I'm only running 80 watts anyways.
