Will the 2013 A-Pillars with the tweeters fit in a 2010?

does anyone know if there is a crossover in the door or dash for the stock drivers in the '13s? im looking to replace the ones in my truck and wondered if there was one. if so could i just use the one there or bypass it and use the one that comes with the components?

From what I've read on other posts, it seems like the door speakers get the full signal and the bass is blocked going to the tweeters in the pillar (probably with a capacitor). It would be better to use the crossover included with the component speakers, for sure....You'll have to bypass the stock wiring.

Default Mounted Tweeters

Since spending over a hundreds bucks on one pillar, I decided to mount my own tweeters on the door above the vent. I am really glad I did. I think they look great!

They may look great, but Im positive they don't sound as good as they would if you would of mounted them facing each other vs. facing rear of truck! Or even purchasing the oem tweeter pillars and putting them in there! Tweeters should always be closest to ear level, and pointed at you for the best sound!

If you notice there is an angle to them. That area is not flat and they are closer to ear level now then when I had them mounted on the pillars.

Finally got the JL Audio C5-570s installed in front, with Kenwood Excelon KCF-X683Cs in the rear. Great advice on the pillar tweets. Thanks! I did a little sanding and they fit perfect. I bought an amp and sub and have them installed, and hooked up to power, but no signal lines yet. I need to get some LOCs and figure out where to tap into the factory stuff. Since everything is bundled so tightly, and the 2013 seems to be really hard to get into the dash, I think I might just run from the fronts to the amp, back to the fronts. Maybe the same with the rear. The amp will route the sub signals form there. It definitely sounds way better than stock, but once the amp, cross-overs, and sub are in the mix, I'm sure it will sound even better. More to come...

Okay, after a some listening today, all I can say is WOW!
The JL Audio C5-570 components are really worth the money. The system sounds so much better, even without the amp. I am surprised by the efficiency of the speakers. I really thought I'd need to get the amp in place before I'd get great results, but they are plenty loud and clear without. The pillar tweets are amazing, and overall, no distortion (at the volumes I listen at) and much more efficient than the KCF-X683C I put in the rear (which sound good too, but not like the fronts). Thanks "Regular Cab" again for turning me on to JL.
The rewiring for the amp/woofer is my next project. Now if I can just find a day...

I removed the stock Sony tweeters, and installed the Infinity X Reference behind the stock tweeter grille, in the pillar location! The reason being so stereo thieves wouldn't see the infinity logo starring at them through the windshield glass, I just removed the Infinity's from their plastic housing added a little foam around the front & mounted them into the stock Sony tweeters location! Sounds much better now!
