Default 2013 FX4 Sony Nav, only adding Subs, HELP!!

Hi guys I just picked up a new FX4 (pic below) and I have a terrible time with leaving things stock. I built a box for dual 12"s and I'm still deciding on which shallow mount subs to use, but in the meantime I want to get the amp mounted and wired.

My questions are:
1. Where do I tap in to add a High to Low convertor?
2. Did you guys just pull the signal from the existing sub wiring and how does that sound?
3. Did you pull it off the sony amplifer under the center console? If so, did you tap into the front, rear, or sub outputs?

And finally:
4. Did you run anything else other than a regular high-low convertor? Like an Audiocontrol unit or Cleansweep?

Thanks again guys!!

I got a RCA converter from best buy and tapped into stock rear sub wiring. I had a 15 in rear of the truck temporarily. It was ridiculously loud.

To only add a sub you can just tap into the stock sub wiring. A line out converter will be fine for that.

Pretty sure I read that the sub wiring is already low level and all you need to do is add an RCA

That's true for the 09' - 10's but not the 11' and 12's.
I Don't know about the 13's

Thought all the Sony's were that way?? If not then he could just run high level to his new sub amp.

Well I'll buy a Line Out Convertor either way and that will be my first try... if I don't need it then I can wire on RCA ends. Thanks so much guys!!

It should be mentioned that the previous models used a dual voice coil sub. That might be why you see people with an audio control, etc. I would think that both Chanel's are the same and wouldn't be necessary to summon them.

Here's a pin out for the 2012 at the subwoofer, it might be the same, might not.

Pin1 sw1+ violet / green
Pin2 sw1- green / white
Pin3 sw2+ green / violet
Pin4 sw2- gray
