Default 2013 f150 xtl basic stereo upgrade

I just got a 2013 f150 XLT with the basic stereo. I don't want navigation. just a better radio with an aux or blue tooth input. can I get a used 4.2" screen type and swap it in. and does anyone have one from an upgrade project. And then upgrade the speakers.

Your 13 XLT doesnt have the 4.2 inch screen? I thought that and sync were standard on the XLT. The 4.2 screen doesn't share plugs with the very basic stereo so it wouldnt be a direct swap. Best bet is probably aftermarket

That would be weird if it didn't have the 4.2. Maybe he got a STX. He doesn't want the 4.2 screen anyway. Somedays I wish I had got an STX and not an XLT for that very reason.

His first post says he has a 13 XLT. I didn't think you could get the old style radio in an XLT. I kind of wish I had The old style so I could use the PAC unit instead of hacking up a $60 parrot harness to add my amps

He must have an XL because looking at the sticker for my 13 XLT the 4.2 with sync is standard equipment.

That makes sense. In that case he will need an aftermarket setup with the correct wiring harness.

Yes, I actually have an XL. I git it used and it was advertized as a XLT. I think I will go with a aftermarket radio.
