You need plenty of room to hook them up. The connections are behind the HU and the faceplate needs to be off to connect them. Like my girlfriend says" the longer the better"

This is another test kit. He was nice enough to lend us his stock panel so we could do our mechanical design. So, you give some and you get some.

I see you have a 2013. I assume your backup camera image is in the mirror. Does the image stay there? Is it shown on both the mirror and the new head unit? Or is it shown on just the head unit?

Our included adaptor will only make the camera show up on the screen if it was in the 4.3 inch screen. It will not help you of your camera is in mirror. In that case you need to tap in up there and run your own rca down to radio like guys been doing for years.

Best,

FWIW I did not have to tap into the mirror but was able to tap into the wiring on the drivers side near the ebrake pedal.
BTW my Maestro works great. I'm so glad I installed it.

For those with 2013 4.2 screen the folx over here https://camera-source.com/automotive...display-s.html sell an adapter harness that you can use to get the video from the rear cam to the center stack, the harness is not shown on the websight as separate but they told me to call them when I was ready to order and they would work out a deal on the price.

So do you think that that would tee in somewhere down in the kick panel where the rear camera video wires are supposedly located? I have a 2013 that has the image in the mirror. I would like that more than splicing/ tapping into existing wires. BTW that camera kit shown was stunningly expensive. By the time I get this kit installed I'm going to have a mile of extra added wire from supplemental harnesses and such.

Kode that is a factory kit. That is why the cost is higher

They sell a harness separate from the whole kit for much less, call them and tell them that's all you want, it plugs into the harness in the back of the truck near the tail gate that sends the signal to the center stack if you want the video there, no need to buy the camera and newly programmed center screen because you will be using the new HU.
