No I ordered AXX13-XSVI-5524 -NAV but now I see that is the wrong part and more expensive so I contacted them for an RMA and then ordered 70-5524.

The AXX13-XSVI-5524 -NAV does have the correct connector in it, but comes with the extra box/ converter. The problem is I don't think either one is fully populated. J think the XSVI has more but still not all 24 PC.

I'm feeling pretty confident the connector will work, the 1st Metra connector comes fully populated.

Ford don't use every single pin or wire in the oem connector, and why would Metra fully populate one connector and not the other? I just don't see that happening.

A good example from Ford is the connector for the 4.2" screen, oem it has 4 wires, but if you buy the Ford replacement it comes completely populated with 12 pins/wires as seen below.

I just bought a new 2014 xlt and am looking to do the same thing. Cant seem to find much of a straight answer anywhere

Can't wait to see the results of this! Just got a new '14 as well, and don't want to compromise the oem harness. This would be a great option if it works out.

I ordered 2 of the AX-AVXSVI-FD. This one supposedly has more data wires in it than the 70-5524. I also ordered one of the 70-5524 as well. I will know in a few days if its going to work or not.

As far as running a LOC, I have heard too many people getting interference noise with them. That is why I am trying to use speaker level inputs. Yes I know it would be easier to splice in, but several years of technician experience tells me to never cut factory harnesses unless you absolutely have to....

I have been using LOC's for the last 10 years that I can remember without an issue. You can run your power from the battery down the passenger side, ground off to a rear seat post, hook your remote wire to the accessory power, and instead of cutting the connector, strip back the wire, and jump from them. As long as you do a good job splicing your wires, and use a good quality RCA to the amp, you shouldn't get any noise. A lot of guys just use butt-connectors to save time, and that's where the problems come in. As long as you have a good ground, and you don't take shortcuts, it should sound just fine.
