Glad to hear it is compatible with your trucks. As for myself, I'm probably going to buy one anyway, despite my reservations about paying $60 for a few plugs and a bundle of wires. Because I really dislike the thought of cutting into factory wires, even if I do have great confidence in my skills. It's one thing to do it on an old beater, but entirely something else to attempt on a $30,000+ truck, or even a Focus worth half that.

I thought I had it somewhere in my bookmarks but now I can't seem to find any thread/post on how to actually get to the plug to plug this in. Does anyone have a link for something showing how to get to it? I can only find older models.

This is for the base radio. If you have the 4.2 inch screen there are 3 screws up inside the glove box to release the passenger side air bag so u can get at the dash screw behind it

Won't work with a Sony. Sony already has an amp

i know that.. the sony amp sucks. I was hoping to intall a mini or micro amp there in its place. I find it hard to believe that NO ONE with the SONY AMP and NAV SCREEN has installed a aftermarket amp and not CUT the factory harness? It just boggles my mind.

There probably aren't that many who have done it all, at least in comparison to those using the standard plus. And someone probably has, by building their own harness. If you were super ambitious, you might be able to take the plugs out the amp, find a manufacturer and part number on them, and see if you can get some samples. Or you could find a yard with right rig, and get them to hack off the OEM harness for you.

Those would be my paths.
