2012 Sub Upgrade Began Today!

Drastic improvement, yes. Hits harder, but the bass is just much fuller and present now. Sure I could have done 1-2 10's or 12's with an amp for the same money, but I got exactly what I needed and freed up my entire back floor. Mission accomplished for me.
I will say this, I forgot to order the Y splitter. So from the house to the store I only played one sub. Just my opinion, but one is average, two took it over the top.
No I didn't mount the remote because I didn't want two bass ***** stuck anywhere (you'll fry your amps if you use a phone splitter). This is where the LC2i comes back into play, I am ordering the gain control for it. One **** - **** comes off for flush installation.

1. Yeah I used the Husky straps to secure them. About $5.00 each at Home Depot. If you look in the corners at the floor there's a metal "loop". I put padding behind the unit, cut the metal hook off of the Husky, then strapped it tight against the wall. No movement and no rattling.
2. Ill get a pic of the wiring but basically there are four wires running to the Sony sub. Used those same four wires into the lc2i. Worked perfect.
3. Used the two amp kits they shipped me. Ran wires at the same time so it was no extra work or money vs. a distribution block.

How does everything work with using the LC2I signal sensing for your remote turn on for both subs amps? IE does it cut out when you hit the sync button and at the point it says "listening"...or when making or receiving a phone call? Just curious how long the LC2I keeps powered up and sending power on the remote wires. I'm planning on getting an LC6I and am wondering if I'm going to have to run an independent remote turn on wire to it to keep sync from turning everything off when it momentarily loses signal.

It turns the amps on when it gets a signal from the radio. When I crank up and the music starts there is a short, very short delay before the subs kick on. I make a habit of turning my head unit all the way down before killing the truck anyway, so by the time I get to the volume I don't even notice. I can't hear anything cutting off or on when I take calls or use sync. There is no "pop" or anything like that. If there were issues I'd just run remote wires but it seems to work just fine.
I've been playing the subs three days now and they sound a little better, breaking them in I suppose. I am getting closer and closer to having everything tuned also. Basically I'm keeping the amp levels at about 1/3 max, and doing my adjusting via the lc2i. I ordered the Audiocontrol remote so I can use the one **** to control both sub outputs. The lc2i has more sensitivity to signal than the amps anyway, so that should work nicely. I'll add pics of that next week.
