Ill be making my own box. I bought a P2D2-12 Rockford sub, but now leaning towards two p2d4-8 rockford's due to the mounting depth, and dont really want to lift the seat.

I just bought a P2D2-10 for my 2010 F150 ext cab. I custom built my box and I achieved around 4" depth. You might get 4.5" if you used 5/8 vs 3/4. I had a 8" JBL before and I prefer the shallow 10". If I was you 10" would be the minimum I would go with.
