2012 Ford JL subs cusom box down firing
I have a supercab 2011 f150. Here is my custom box for truck my JL Tw 13in shallow subs. My driver seat is not effect. The back seat still folds up and down. I still have space for people in the back seat. I should have posted these pics MONTHS ago. LOL
Please let me know what ya think.

Is that an original TW or a v2? How much airspace did you achieve? I used a v2 and got close to 1.5cuft...really sounds awesome with that extra space, added some low extension and mellowed out the peak in the higher frequencies.

Its the TW5v2 13.5-inch@ 2 ohms. Air space is 0.8. The box only stick out less of an inch from the seat. I dont have large adults ride with me. All I care about is having the extra inches in the bed of the truck to haul. If I would have gotten the new JL 10in shallow sub the box would have been flush with the seat. At first the shop convinced me that the new 10in JL shallow sub would sound even better than a TW5v2 13.5-inch and slap it around all day. O.K so I did had the shop make a custom box for the 10in JL shallow sub. I heard it in my truck hooked up to my 900/5 JL amp but it just didnt hit as hard as I expected. I was not impressed with it at all. So I told them to make a box custom fitted for my truck for the TW5v2 13.5-inch sub. They warned me about that the box would stick out a little. Now with the TW5v2 13.5-inch is a BIG difference in the sound. With the TW5v2 13.5-inch connected to my 900/5 amp it sound perfect. It is not stressing out when the volume is high and neither is the AMP. The RMS is roughly around 600.That 900/5 got some huge of webos in handling power..lol

There not enough airspace to fit 2 10s underneth that one seat. Yeah I would have done one 10in but they sound like crap in a seal box. It is not as big is you think underneath the seat. Have limited space. When you remove the jack there is a small hump and from the front to back of the rear seat it seat it gets narrower top to bottom.
Hey.. it is was it is. Asked for it.. I wanted big sound in a big truck rather and I got it. Its better than having a Huge box with with a 12in sub laying on the back seat like some other people ive see.

Thanks, I put a lot of effort into getting it just the way I wanted it.
No offense but you need to find a better shop, with .8 of airspace it can go flush and use half of the area under the driver side seat. If you make the box go over the hump you can recess it and get plenty of airspace and make it flush with the seat. Here is a pic of my 13TW.

What year is your truck? and model?
Your floor looks different than mine. Look closely at the two pics. Your seat looks to be higher up with small black block underneath the bracket on the floor. My rear seat does not have the black looking block underneath. Your floor looks to be more flat.
