Same here as far as the powered sub...looked at the kicker sub. Looks nice but I still would prefer to keep the rear floor area clear. I'm looking at putting a 8" powered sub behind the rear seat to add a little more low end punch to my system.

Thats exactly what I want. I want to put a powerd sub in the back of the rear backseat. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what powered sub would be a good fit? one more question In installing new speakers for the do they need an amp? I heard the Infinity reference are good? Any info on that?

Some people have used the Sound Ordinance powered sub behind the seat. All depends how much bass you want....

If u go with infinity's for the door, checked out the Kappa series. That's what i got front n rear. Ive been real happy with there performance, that i also replaced all the speakers in my lil bro ride with 6.5's Kappas n added a 12" Dual Voice Coil Kicker all powered by a JL audio 700/5 amp. Its sounds great clear mid's n Crisp High's even at moderate to high volume. But with which brand or model u go with, Spend Time Tunning ur sounds with various type of music u like, that can make it go from a good system to A Great one. In my opinion, of course.

If I do get the infinities for the door firsts I think they will just be powered by the stock radio. I heard that the infinities reference sound great without an amp. Now I don't know how true that is but they aren't that expensive probably like $60 for a pair. Wyo11Scab Ive heard of the Sound Ordinance powered sub and actually crutch field recommended it to me but from a scale to 1 to 10 how does it sound? I mean is it equal to a sony sound system that comes with a platinum ? Ive heard the sony sound and it was ok to my listening pleasure

It is a compact unit that I think will sound better than the stock Sony. It is made for filling in the low bass and not for blowing out your ears. Some folks have used 2 of them if they want more bass.
