Default 2011 XLT Replacement Question

2011 XLT without the 4" screen, I have the intermittent flashing clock, no sound nonsense, so I'm going to replace the entire unit.
My question for you auto guys is should I just go with used OEM off eBay, or should I go aftermarket?
I don't need nav or anything fancy, but I want to keep my steering wheel controls and Bluetooth capabilities for phone and music.
Any direction would be appreciated.

Go aftermarket. You'll pay a little more than for a used OEM, but the sound quality is night and day. You can get an adapter that retains your steering wheel controls and bluetooth is common in aftermarket. I just installed aftermarket in my own 2011 XLT.

Am I right in seeing that I will have to get a separate XM tuner in order to retain satellite radio?
It's been 15 years since I have messed with any car audio...

That is correct. The old tuner is built into the factory HU
