I had a Rosen Entertainment Gps installed which keeps the radio and all the sync items and no wire cutting or extra adapters needed. It works great and the price for the unit was 449.99 you may want to check it out.

There are a bunch of us that bought the Rosen unit, then returned it.
It has more bugs than its worth!
I personally went with the genuine OEM Ford Nav unit.
It was more money, but I think its worth it.
I retained my sync, Sirius radio and gained a bunch more like Nav, HD radio, Jukebox etc.
By the way, say you go with a like a Pioneer. Your going to loose Sync and Sirius. Sirius is built on the motherboard of your factory stereo.
Yes, some model Kenwoods can use a add on called iDatalink Maestro. I havent used one. I would check the internet for reviews before jumping into one of those though.

with the idatalink you lose sirius. but it keeps all your sync and steering controls.

Only problem is if you amplify your front speakers..you basically will have to run an loc from your new radio to retain sync as using the rca's will bypass it completely and you will not be able to hear anything from sync..sorry forgot to add if using the pac oem solution
