Image Dynamics ID10D4v.3 2 $258.00

Subtotal $442.00

Total Cost of System (so far) $2,221.33

I tried to break the cost down as much as possible to help those looking at a full system install.

What am I missing? Experience with these products? Comments as long as you don't hate on everything I just purchased

I also realize I could have gotten a bit cheaper, but wanted reputable dealers... knowing that they aren't JL authorized (dont care much here) fix or replace after one or two years (what the dealers are giving me on the JL products). I have never had a problem with them which is why i don't care. If installed properly and maintained, these products should outlast any warranty. Just my experience (I know some are always bad, but it's a gamble and I love Vegas)

Why not go with the LC6I? That way you could have 4 channels to your 4 channel amp and keep fader control. And it will give you that extra set of RCA outputs to go to your mono channel amp for your subs.

Or even the LCQ-1 so you can have all of the above plus equalization for everything. Just a thought.

Nice equipment. The IDs are nice sounding drivers, although I would have gone for 12s.

Great Point I didn't really care about the fading... I thought to myself... "self, have you ever faded your speakers.. nope" But I did just think about the future when you wrote the above. Just got married in October and kids may be coming... that might be a reason to fade.

Questions, have you used this? My only concern is Looks like the best of both worlds here. You may have changed my mind. A buddy sold me his LC2i so I might just have to do the same and pick up the LCQ1. Any ideas on mounting locations... I was thinking in the arm rest cavern.

Thanks! I have heard you can't fit 2 12"s under the seat of the Screw (2011). Both size and airspace become problems... I have always had 12s for the low end, but hey, what the heck, I'll see how my ears like the ID 10's. If not there's always the classified sections!

I have 3 shallow Pioneer 12's under my '11 SCREW seat in a custom 1.9 cuft box. It can be done.

That looks sweet! IMO it sticks out a little to far... does it make it more difficult to enter and exit the back seat? I have people and gear back there all the time.

It does slightly impede entry/exit but seeing as I don't sit in the back it doesn't bother me much It was the only way to get the 12's to work and 10's just didn't give me the range I was looking for.

The 4 ohm 12's paralleled have me a 1.3 ohms which works well with the Fosgate P1000-1bd Im using to power them. Its loud but I was shooting for SQ - the setup digs deep on the lows (Bassnecter, Skrillex, Chemical Bros.) yet maintains great definition and punch (Dream Theater, Pantera, Megadeth) without completely washing out the upper bands.

Still need a digital processor to dial everything in and get staging right...

In my last SUV I ran the same amp with 2 RF 12" T1s. loved it... but no room for them here so I just sold the amp and subs for $400. talk about a steal... it was to a kid that was going to pay more, but when we handed me the money i could tell he needed it more than I did, so I gave it back and kept $400. it was my good deed! I was there once
