Yeah! I am pretty excited to have them dusted off and playing again (it seriously has been 11-12 years since I've used them)

==============

So amp mounting and wiring is complete, put the rear seats back in... unfortunately I did not take into account that the seat actually pivots inward when you fold the seat bottom up, as a result they only go "up" 2/3rds the way because the amps are in the way.... no matter, they work great as seats and i can fold them down using the release on the back, so it's all good.

Starting making the box and have 5 out of the 6 sides done.... i need to redo the sides to make it a teeny bit "taller" so the downward facing woofer has room to breathe, but otherwise i have like 45 mins or so worth of work to do to finish it before carpeting it.

Rough estimations on airspace is a tad over 1 cubit foot of internal volume

Sub complete:

Just one issue, the sub (dual 2 ohm voice coil) and my amp aren't a good match impedance wise, so the amp is only putting out 1/2 of what it is is capable of. I'd think I would just get a matching sub but i don't have the airspace.. a different woofer could be an option as well (a dual 4 ohm voice coil) to present a 2 ohm mono load to amp.. ah well, it's fine for now, but I know it's capable of more !!

I'm holding off on the ID horns for now, the fear being I'd definitely throw off the scale balance of mids-highs vs bass

So for now: complete ! (and it sounds great, but I know it's capable of more !)

Updates:

Last week:
I got a new woofer (Kicker 10CWRT101 dual 1 ohm), one that allowed me to present my Rockford amp with a mono 2 ohm load and get the most out of the amp. Also ran the remote bass control wire and mounted the **** in that little cubby left of the radio

Yesterday/This-Morning:
Mounted and wired up my Image Dynamic CD1E horns finally, I literally just finished what is shown below and had to come in and start my work day, so I haven't had a chance to get a good listening session in just yet, but it feels great to just have them playing again as they have been sitting around collecting dust for 10-12 years now

Final thing to do to complete the system: fabricate some grills for the horns!
