Default 2011 lariat sound upgrade

I have a 2011 lariat no nav but I do have sync, wanting to add some bass, so here's my idea looking for thoughts/opinions, thanks
Going to do 2 10in jl subs (not sure model yet)
Alpine m500 amp
Audio control lc2i (I think)
Possibly down the road upgraded speakers/amp for those
How will this sound with the factory head unit? Don't really want to upgrade it, but seeing as I don't even have a sub anything would be an upgrade
Thanks in advance!

You already have a factory sub? You want to delete or add to it?

This his where I'm confused, I recently found the bass and treble settings, the bas was all the down, it sounds like I have a sub, my review mirror kinda shakes. But I can't find the sub! It's not under the back seat, that's why I thought I didn't have one and wanted to add 2 subs

You should have a sub. Maybe behind the rear seat. Find it first

I've figured out how to fold the seas up, but how do I access behind the seats? I'm trying to see if I have a sub, you would think it would be eaiser to find!

It should under the seat passenger side rear. If not there then the bass you are hearing is from the door speakers. Look for a wiring harness where the sub should be

Yup nothing under the back seats.. But really that's coming from the speakers? Doesent sound half bad! But I think 2 10s would deff be a good start to upgrading the audio system

I have 1-10". More than enough if the box is right.
Sound is a very personal thing...
