In the tray in the.. wait for it, I can't resist... center of the dash.

If you have the Sony system there will be a small grille in the tray under which resides the tiny wide range driver.

You won't be able to eliminate the turn off pop when you turn on or off the factory head unit. If you had the sony nav, the amp stays on no matter if the stereo is on or off. It needs a turn on delay only.

If you put a turn off delay on yours, the MS8 would stay on longer after the RAP power is cut. You'd get a pop just like you do turning on or off the factory head unit.

I use a Hybrid Audio L4SE for the center channel
Very late reply! No nav, the base stereo. I didn't want the Sony as I knew I would yank most of it anyway.

That is one impressive looking driver Does the MS-8 output a lot of audio to the center channel or just a bit of fill?

Does this relate to the Sony speakers or the ordinary Ford speakers?
If it is the ordinary ones, I have four sitting on my workbench. I could hook one up to the Woofer Tester on the weekend to measure its impedance curve if that would be useful.

I would expect you're talking Sony here. Does anyone keep the Ford speakers when they do stereo modifications?

You'd still use the same inputs from the sony amp but you'd need to cut all the leads out of the sony amp to the factory speakers and wire them in with the MS8's output. I believe you'd only use one output from the MS8 for the factory sub and wire both coils.

I would have used only 2. If you have it setup with 4, and it works, then it works.
It works but I wonder if it would be louder if I rewired it and only used two of the wires?

Can you increase the gain on the amplifier or MS-8?

Default MS8 - Most sound out of right front

THanks! Used a lot of your info above to get my MS8 installed. I have re-calibrated many, many times, but almost all the sound is coming out of my front rights. Any ideas?
