2011 F150 FX4 SuperCrew w/ Nav-Replacing Factory Sony Sub
Hey All!
I know I have had some previous topics on this thread as to what kind of sub I can replace my factory sony sub with and not lose my factory floor mats as well as not taking up anymore space. I wanted to keep the sub exactly where the old one fit. Well I went to my local car and truck accesorry shop, Tintmasters Motorsports, and they had a solution to my needs and wants so I let them get the $180 out of me to install everything. They also made custom stilts on the sub box as well.
I have this sub and box combo in my truck:

I have this amp powering my sub:

And I have an re-q to use my factory wiring:

Overall, I am very happy they kept it stock looking and the sound wont rattle the neighborhood-but you wont get that out of a single 8" system but it sounds great! I am happy with the big improvement over the crappy stock sony sub. let me know what you guys think!
I have pictures but they will not upload on this post or in an album on my member page so if anyone wants to upload them for me I can certainly email them to someone.

My only thing to add is really watch your amp temp. With the carpet all around and the height you chose to mount it the seat will be on top of it. I don't see much room for air circulation. Overall great job just maybe keep an eye on that.

Very nice. I like that it's in the "stock" location. I'd love a simple plug-n-play sub swap to go with the Boston Acoustic SR80's I just put in the doors. You must have bought the last MTX re-Q...I clicked your link and it's DISCONTINUED.
