2010 SCAB amp install help
#1
Hey all, started the process of mounting my amp. Got my back seat unhooked ( what a PITA!) but after looking at the space behind it, I don't think there will be enough room to mount my amp behind the seat with MDF board (picture below)
I've hunted the forum for any kind of spec on how much room there is from the back of the cab to the back of the seat.
My amp is 2.5 inches thick exactly. I have 2 3/4 of and inch to the seat back bracket
My next idea is to mount it sideways under the rear seat with, there would be no issues just curious how I could secure the MDF to the flooring, I was thinking industrial Velcro on the bottom of the MDF would secure it enough to the carpeting. Then bolts with spacers to secure amp to MDF
I say all this but I'd much prefer to mount it out of site / way of people's feet behind the seat.
Thoughts suggestions comments.

Ya I'm sure it'd probably stick in place okay with enough Velcro. I think one of the reasons of mounting behind the seat is so its out of the way. You can always pull out a speaker box if you need the cargo room, but harder to remove an amp that has all the wires there. Your amp looks alot bigger than mine, but I mounted mine under the front passenger seat. Just enough clearence that the seat can slide forward/back with no issues.

I was able to fit it behind the seat by mounting it about an inch above the floorboard (2.5 inch amp + 1/2 in ply) just had to mount it in between seat brackets. I did it last night and forgot pics. I put the seat back in because my PAC and wire kit from sonicelectronix won't be delivered until Thurs I'd Friday and the road noise was killing me.
I'll post up pics of install
