and this is the only thing left I know that might help.

I tried to get a good shot of the inside of the sub.

I also measured the sub.

10inch sub

and its 4.5in deep..

aren't W3's 6.5?

According to JL, the 10w1 has a 4.375 inch mounting depth. All the others (w0 and w3) are over 5 inches. I'd say you have a pair of 10w1s. Here's what I would do. I would order up a pair of Alpine Type-R dual 4 subs. Those have been said to work great in the Fox box. Run them off of the x1001. You could probably sell the 4 channel on one of the car audio forums and recoup most of what you spend on the alpines

Are these the subs you are referring to?
Alpine SWR-10D4 Type-R 10" Subwoofer with Dual 4-ohm Voice Coils

I still have the sub/box too so I think i'm going to sell the sub/box combo and then the 4chnl separate but I might keep it in case I decide to upgrade the audio later..

I'll have to think about that though.

Yep, thats it. Actually the dual 2 would work for you as well since the x1001 puts out the same power at 2 and 4. I would keep the 4 channel. Thats a pretty nice pair of matching amps. It would be a shame to split them up. That w7 should fetch a pretty good price if you decide to sell it

Would the Dual 2 or Dual 4 work better for my setup/amp?

Dual 4's and Box have been ordered. Now all I have to do is wait... and get the odds and ends that are needed like the wire and other minor oddities. That kit you mentioned earlier. does it include everything I will need to install these to my system?

Cause I got a quote from an audio shop when I was searching for someone to do it for me and was given a list of stuff but I have no idea what some of them are :/.

Thank you so much for your help King!!

The kit includes everything you will need to power the amp. You will still need to get a signal to the amp. Im not familiar with how the sony system in your truck works. Does it have an amp built onto the factory sub or is it under the console like the newer trucks?

I believe that the amp is built into the sub. the list the shop gave me was

-1 or 2 chnl amp
-2chanl loc w/ remote tur
-4AWG OFC amp kit BU

-17' S-series Interco
-6' S - Series Intercon
-volume control

I am not sure of the ones in red

the amp I don't understand because they knew I wanted to use my sub amp?

The other two... I just don't have a clue what they are. haha

The LOC takes the signal from the truck's stereo and converts it to a useable signal for your amp. I recommend a nice one like the audiocontrol Lc2i. It has bass restoration to make up for the factory stereo dialing back the bass at higher volumes

The 4 gauge amp kit is the amp wiring that I posted earlier. An OFC kit is probably a good idea now that we know you are going to be using the full 1000w. Ill link you to one when I get home and Im not on my phone

Interconnect is just a fancy way of saying RCA cable

Volume control is a **** they were trying to sell you so you can turn the sub amp up and down remotely. Nice to have but not necessary and amp-specific. You would probwbly jave a hard time finding one for that xtant amp, although MTX might be able to help you out
