If you don't have premium sound then you can get just the standard harness. I have the 6-CD with Sync and the only plug on the radio is the big wide one shown in the standard harness. Maybe the premium system w/ sub needs that sub connector.

Okay I talked to the guys at Metra and I can get by with the XSVI-5520-Nav that will give me all the lines I need. Aux power, brake, backup etc., and only $88.
But now I am stuck on the step
"
To remove the dash cover.
Where do I unclip the switch panel?

On mine that's the SYNC panel with the aux input and the USB port but you said you didn't have SYNC so I'm not sure what yours looks like. Mine you just had to kinda pry out carefully.

I just had a thought.
Is the cigarette lighter power switched?
Couldn't I just grab the acc power off of that?
Okay I was wrong.
So it is backwards from what I need.

They turn off after about 15 mins in my truck. I've left my cell phone plugged in while sitting in the truck with it off, and after about 15 minutes all the ACC power turns off (just like the radio auto turns off after about 15 w/o engine running). If you open a door or start the truck, the ACC power comes back on.

Yep cigarette lighter is not switched. Easiest is the wire I mentioned above IMO.

I've found that the quality of installation with a harness is significantly better, you can easily solder the wiring without have to remove the stock connectors up in the dash. Also you have the option of easily putting the stock head unit back in when you sell the truck.
