So I just got a new truck (2009 Ford F-150 SuperCrew), took the subs out of my old car and wanted to drop them in a under rear seat box, so naturally I called a highly recommended local custom audio shop.

I have 2 10" JL Audio W3v3-8's and a JL Audio JX360/2 Amp. They said "no problem, we have just the box for you!". I was like "horray!". 4 days later get a call, box is in, time to wire up the truck and shake the world! So needless to say I was super stoked. Get the box home, open it up, they ordered me up an A-Trend B Box with 2 10" cutouts, looked great, started dropping the subs in, and ......

NOT EVEN CLOSE to a fit, I mean I'm talkin at least 3/4" of an inch too large in a box that SAYS the mounting depth will support an adequate top mount depth to fit the JL W3's. DO NOT ORDER THIS BOX UNLESS YOU HAVE SHALLOW MOUNT SUBWOOFERS. (see images)

Did some research online, looked a little deeper, and found Fox Acoustics, Emailed Joe. Joe responded literally within 5 minutes and I told him my story, he said his box will fit the W3's. Ordered Immediately. Will post pictures of a hopefully successful story as soon as it comes in.

Anyone have the same/similar setup and a good experience with Fox Acoustics? Thanks!

I would cut the hole larger as long as the box is deep enough for the speakers to fit

Unfortunately the depth is the issue, the subwoofer top mount depth exceeds the enclosure depth. I returned the A-trend box and am waiting for the Fox acoustics. This gives me a bit more time to figure out how to mount the amp behind the back seat on the wall, silver lining I guess.

I too am waiting for a dual fox box for some typ R 10's. My box was scheduled to come in on the 13th and still haven't recieved it. Any luck on your shipment? I've tried getting a hold of joe but no luck.

I ordered my box on 8/15 and the status is still "processing" on the website which makes sense since it has only been 4 days. I will keep you posted on the progress of the order. I ended up doing all the wiring and mounting the other day which was surprisingly easy, I was worried because there are so many posts with people having issues. I just need the box, plug the speaker wire in, and I'm good to go. So I hope it comes soon..

I ordered my box on the night of the 7th, it shipped on the 8th and because the shipment never delivered like it stated on tracking for the 13th, the date now reflects N/A. I emailed him again today so we will see. I have also called fed-ex and they have no update of the package other than when they were notified to pick it up. The automated system says it was picked up at 9:30 on the 8th, fed ex rep says nothing was picked up but my ordered has been stuck on shipped this whole time. Man I haven't had any luck with our vendors on this forum aside from my bed cover, communication has been horrid.

Hey man, just a little update. I checked on my account at Fox and as of this morning the order still was in processing, checked again this afternoon and the status has changed to shipped. I ordered a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X998 from Crutchfield tonight as well, I'm guessing that will be here before the box does. I will let you know what my experience is with FedEx. Have you received the FoxBox yet?

My order has said shipped since the day after I order and has been stuck on that status ever since. I have sent numerous emails and PM's with no replies. I also contacted fed-ex in person at work as well as on the phone and nothing. Wired cause my fed-ex guy said the tracking number had more digits than usual and he was telling me how sometimes they go through a third party who ships and blah blah blah. When I contacted fed-ex support, they said all they see is that they have been notified of pick up but no sign or update that anything was actually picked up or even there to be picked up. I see it all the time at work were our fed-ex or UPs guy says they are there to pick up based on a notification they recieved and when we check, nothing physically there.

Does anyone have a number to call Joseph?

Ok, so I it's got off the phone with Joe. Apparently there was some issues with the order or whatever. Orders that were recently placed will be shipping tomorrow. I told him I ordered back on the 6th and it was labeled shipped on the 7th which was a Thursday. I was told by email that shipments are on Fridays typically no big deal but nothing happened. He did state that all the recent orders will be shipped tomorrow. I'm so confused, conversation was weird. I wish I had a little more time but being at work I had to go. I just hope my order is in with the shipment.
