2009+ f150: Please post pictures of where your amp is mounted

Is this the commonly accepted technique for attaching amps? Just running self-tapping screws through factory sheet metal seems just a bit crude, but perhaps that's how it's done at custom install shops as well.

According to my shop that is how it is usually done..however I had them glue a amp board install of tapping into the metal

Anyone run into heat issues? I've got a Fosgate Punch 600.1BD mounted on the wall behind the seat of my scab and did similar to most others. I ran the power wire and my bass **** wires down the passenger side channel. My LOC is under the back seat and I tapped into the wires for the rear door speaker down in the channel and used the turn on lead from my LOC

-avoid potential heat issues
-I can adjust bass/gain/etc from driver seat
-still hidden well enough (cant see it unless your in the truck and lift the seat bottom)
-easily accesible if something goes wrong
-much easier to install initially (especially on a supercab)

This is what I did. Was going to mount behind seat back but decided under the seat was better for a few reasons. I dont like holes in sheet metal so I just mounted it to the carpet, its fine.
