What is your truck? year, trim level, base or factory upgraded system etc? be specific and I could probably be able to tell you what wire to tap into behind the h/u

2008 f150 chrome package 5.4 4x4 without factory subwoofer. the radio has a line in for an aux in the top of the dash above the radio

light green wire with a yellow stripe behind the radio is the accessory wire which should work fine for the remote wire

did that in the first place and it didnt work...Im just gunna use the fuse box

Iv got it hooked uo using the rca's and a line out converter bit as soon as I turn the key to play music the protection light comes on! any ideas why this would happen??

disconnect the speaker wires from the amp and see if it still protects

when they are disconnected it works fine when I turn the truck on

sounds like you have either a blown sub or are trying to wire to a lower impedance than your amp can handle

amp and sub are both rated for 2ohms

If it protects with the sub hooked up but doesnt when its disconnected it would be a sub issue and not an amp issue, what sub is it?
