2007 stereo removed
Hi all, I'm sure this is out there somewhere, but I promise you I've searched!
Does anyone have any documentation on removing the stereo/dash for a 2007 f150? I don't see how they got it on there!
Thanks in advance
Nick

Inaugural TOTM
Nick - It's actually pretty simple.
1. Pull out your ashtray
2. Grab hold of the center console and give it a tug, it feels like it won't come off, but trust me it will. Be careful of the passenger airbag light wire towards the top, don't wanna go pulling that wire out.
3. The stereo is held in place by 4 little bolts, unscrew them and the stereo just slides right out.

I guess I should have posted what type of stereo/console I have, as I don't have an ashtray.
I've included a picture. Thanks for the help all!
ps-sorry for the poor quality

Welcome to the site nichos!!
Since you don't have an ashtray I would recommend getting some kind of hard plastic flat tip and insert it between the radio surrounding piece and the dash and try to pry it off. I've taken mine off many times and like wxmcpo said, it's gonna feel like it doesn't want to come off but just give it a god tug and it will snap right off.
Good luck and let us know if you have anymore trouble or questions!!!

The easiest way to remove the surround is with a pick tool. A pick tool looks like a pointed screwdriver with a bent tip. You can use this tip to get behind the surround and pull without causing any damage to the plastic. I started at the top and worked my way down. BTW, I don't have an ashtray either.

Thanks guys - it worked as you all said. It was a little hard to pull out, now I see why - it has a bunch of clips
When I was back there I found a stray wire, I have no idea what it is. (I posted here: https://www.f150forum.com/f4/what-wire-6797/#post59964 ).
Anyway, thanks for all the help1
