If you didn't use the 12V to 5V adapter you will have a turn on thump also

thanks, I did use the 12 to 5 volt adapter so there is no turn on pop. the noise is just a engine whine. It's driving me crazy. when the weather breaks I'll check for a bad ground and test the sub

I have checked the voltage and I have 12v on the constant, 5v on the turn on, and a good ground. No buzz when truck is not running.

Disconnect your signal wires and see if the buzz is still present w/ truck running. That will isolate the interference to the power or signal wires.
