No you need a kit

Keep out engine noise
3. For steering wheel controls with a compatible HU (I don't need the adapter) does anybody know if I hook to Key1 or Key 2 wire on new HU?
What kind of HU is it? All of the good brands need an adapter
Thanks!

Thank you for the reply. I got it hooked up yesterday. It works great! I had to do a custom install as the unit was not ISO size and wouldn't fit in the dash kit. Also the unit is a pumpkin android radio. It uses the android os to decipher the resistive steering wheel controls. I hooked it up to key 1

2004 Lariat 4x4 Audiophile. I just want to know how well a replacement sub will do in the stock system. I have upgraded all 4 door speakers to some nice Pioneers but the rest is all stock. Some of my music is causing the stock sub to rattle or bottom out at certain bass tones so I've been looking at getting this shallow mount Pioneer sub to replace the stock sub. Link below. Will I need any harnesses or extra stuff to go with this sub to play nicely with my stock amp/HU?

If you're looking to upgrade to an aftermarket sub I would think you'd need separate amp to push. It might work without but you're not going to see the improvement you're looking for.

2008 F-150 SCrew Aftermarket Install Issues
I have a 2008 F-150 SCrew with the audiophile system. I am in the process of replacing the stock HU with a Kenwood DDX9703S unit using the CRUX SWRFD-60L interface recommended by Crutchfield. After wiring (soldering w/ heat shrink tubing) the interface to the Kenwood harness, I have encountered the following issues:
(1) I get no sound from the rear speakers. Verified the wiring is correct. As an experiment, I reversed the front and rear speakers on the left side and interestingly enough got output from all four speakers. Not sure what this means but doesn't make sense to me......
(2) The SWRFD-60L only has one RCA plug to connect to the Kenwood sub output - the sub seems to work connected to either L or R - does it matter if it is connected to L or R; or should I have used a different interface?
(3) Although there is no popping sound from the sub when the HU turns on, there is a 3 second rumble followed by a pop from the sub when the HU turns off. I have installed a 12V-5V voltage regulator on the remote wire with no effect.
Any help on these would be greatly appreciated.....thanks -

I have never used the Crux. Curious if your steering wheel controls work?
Any help on these would be greatly appreciated.....thanks -
