Could be a short with the remote wire or that it came loose and is not connected to its power source. You can follow the remote wire all the way with a voltmeter or just swap out the remote wire if not already.

i ended up checking the resistance of the wire from end to end and it read 0.3 ohms so i know its not broken half way or anything. I also measured directly from the back of the head unit remote turn on and ground and got 0V. I think my head unit is messed up somehow.

whats up fellas,new member here with a question.I just got a 07 super crew XLT with the line input on the dash and was wondering if the volume is supposed to be lower than am/fm or cd for some reason?I thought it was my mp3 player so tried my friends phone and it was the same.i have to turn the volume damn near to max in order to get an acceptable listening volume.sorry if this has been covered already.

For advice, go to crutchfield.com I think their web page is an excellent source of advice on audio equipment. My $.02 is that I really like my unit and I am a fan of pioneer.

i have an 07 STX, installed a DDin clarion with touch screen and nav....i have gotten everything to work except the regular radio.....doesnt get any reception, made sure antenna was plugged in tight, ran extra ground wires, but still crappy reception, but if i pull it out the dash and spread out wiring the signal gets better............any clues?

yup i have that adaptor connected and still having the same issues, there were 2 big harnessess that came out of the back of the stock radio but only one for stock radio, but it has stock radio with no amp or anything
