So with this, there is a ground to the back seat mount, a wire to the battery and a wire to the fuse panel.( I'm sure this is a sin in the audio world.) The last truck he did this to was his '03, mine is an '04. If there's one thing I've learned so far, it's that this '04 is differnt from his '03 in more than one way.
So on to the problem....power from some where is draining the battery. Had the battery checked and the alternator, both I was told were fine. Wires and connections are good. Nothing exposed. Disconected the the sub from the battery, so there shouldn't be power source there. Could it be pulling power from the radio? Which is ultimately conected to the battery. I'm guessing it needs to be wired different. At any rate, I've had to jump it every morning for the last 3 days, which is when this problem started.
Could be that wire to the fuse panel. Maybe connected to a fuse that isn't switched with the ignition?

Get the harness that was for the OEM amp, and connect it to the speakers?
That won't work. Most car stereo speakers have capacitors wired to them that cut off the range so they are not damaged by low frequencies.
You also wouldnt have any power from that harness to drive the speakers.

The model # for the radio is: 8L3T-18c815-KC
And it came out of a Standard cab 2008 F150. So right there I know that it didnt have a sub. There are 3 plugs on the back of the unit + antenna. My truck only used the big plug as it was a standard AM/FM/CD player. Knowing this, what can you tell me?
Burn a test track that is a solid 60 hz or so, see if you can hear it.

Question AUX wiring

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the stock radio? I am certain you could just add the necessary wiring to attach an aux mini plug/rca set to the back of the deck.

Anyone have one?

What does your head unit do when you press the aux button?

It says " NO AUX AUDIO" I figured that meant there is nothing currently connected.

I am also planning on adding a sub/amp. Should I just say forget the whole thing and buy a new aftermarket headunit? By the time I get a line level input I'll have put over $100 in it andI can get a Pioneer double din headunit for like $400.

Default Still need subwoofer wiring

Okay I have gone through this forum, and I have reviewed everything here and still no help. I have a 2006 Screw that I replaced the stereo with a OEM Audiophile system, and I purchased a OEM Sub on Ebay. I have the connector at the rear seat, but I cannot located the one in the dash. I ahve just about taking the complete dash apart looking for it. I have even opened the bundle in the lower radio cavity and can not find the connector. I have ran my hand up and down every single metal bracket under the dash to see if I could find it tape somewhere to include behind the glove box. My question is where is the wire, if it is in the rear it shoudl be somewhere in truck. Do they just dead head this if the truck does not come with the Audiophile system. If so can I build one and get this to work. I would can it all and go after market but I like the steering wheel controls that the OEM system has.

The stock aux systems are run by CANBUS (digital communication between modules), you'll need this signal to make the head unit "see" that there is an aux signal.

See my response in your thread.

Also, there are aftermarket integration modules that can let you retain your steering wheel controls with an aftermarket head unit.
