I have a 2001 F150 super crew but until 2004 the radio did not stay on after you shut the truck off only the Windows remained functional. The Windows will continue to work until the door is opened and that's what I want for my radio. I'm thinking if I take my accessory wire and find the door wire that keeps the Windows on I can splice into it and my radio will do the same. If anyone knows the color of this wire on the Windows that would be very helpful.

You could use an "add a fuse" to tap your accessory wire into the window fuse.

If you had used a wiring harness then you would have that feature.

I don't think a harness would have solved anything. If I gather what I think he is saying it wasn't until 2004 and later the factory radio stayed on after you shut the truck off.

Could be wrong, but that's how I interpreted the question.

Is this a factory radio or an aftermarket radio?

You could be correct. It makes no sense that the power switched. There must be something else that has changed.

I have figured it out, I simply had to find the connector that supplied the power to the window connected to the delay. Run a wire from that connector to your radios ignition wire and it works. I will post a detailed thread how to do this for others with an F150 super crew 01-03 interested in having this. Thanks for the input though guys.

Also until the year 2004 no F150 had that option of the radio staying on after the ignition was turned off. A wiring harness would have made no difference. Ford beginning in 01 to my knowledge came out with the delay connected to the Windows allowing them to stay on until one of the doors is opened. This feature can be added to your radio by connecting your radios ignition wire to this connector.

Oh I wasn't aware they had that feature that for that year. Well when I post my thread you can also add this feature to your truck. It will give you all the instructions to making your radio having the same delay as your windows.
