I had an idea about hooking up one 8 inch in a custom console and 2 12 behind my seats the 8 attached to a seperate subs and have the remote wires on switches so that I could use the 8 with country and the 12s with dubstep. Anyone heard of this

No. Get a remote bass level control **** and with some good 12's and you'll be happy playing Chesney to Skrillex and everything in-between.

no I havnt heard of it and I have 2 12" 4ohm subs with a bass ****, and I listen to dubstep country an rap. the bass **** does help a lot, I can turn the subs down when listening to country an when I listen to cinema by skrillex it slams. that's probably the best set up. I have my subs wired at 1ohm running off a HF Brutus elite 2000 way amp.
