Default 2 or 4 ohm subs

If i buy the Kenwood Excelon X1200M, do i want the swr 1023d or 1043d. The amp is 1,000 watts at 2 ohm. I will be running two subs. The amp is $300. If there is a better amp for a similar price, I am open to suggestions.

If your running 2 subs then you need the swr 1023's. In a series/parallel configuration, it will give you a 2 ohm load and get the most out of the amp. However, if you want my opinion on a better amp for the same price then check this one out...http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-4000DEV3.html
I would also recommend the RE subs to match the amp. For the money, they will smoke the alpines!
