This is the same sub in JLs box...and it will fit behind the back seat.
Why didn't you just use this?

The biggest deal breaker is the inverter that is mounted under that passenger seat already. Then there's the whole discussion about your jack/tire changing brackets and components.
I'll believe it when I see pics. but until then, I'm only about say - 100% sure your installer is wrong, and you should find another installer.
(I do love to be wrong though. so please, post some pics. I post pics, it's only fair that you do too. )

It didnt make sense to me either. I have the 2016 SCREW
Your installer isn't looking at a 2015 Platinum supercrew.

You would be the first person to make that setup happen. By all means, you should let them try it.
I wanted 2 other things.... 1) keep my jack/tire equipment in the stock location. 2) add a bunch of sound deadening (including closed cell foam) to the back wall. It just wasn't an option for me to use that passenger side.
You also have to consider how much gap there is between the speaker and the back seat. You need airspace for air to move. The TW3 does move a surprising amount of air.
Not to say my box is superior, but the way mine is designed, there is a clear path both under the back seat, and through the carved out channel that's built into the seat back for air movement. It's really pretty awesome.
I would have much rather picked up that JL box for 250ish including the speaker, and just wired it up and called it good. Wasn't an option for me.

Would you be willing to share the specs of your design or possibly make another one?

He's out of Maple Valley, WA. He has templates to make another box like mine, and can customize it for you for whatever you want to do. He spent a week with my truck, so he knows what you can and cannot do fairly easily.
Or, shoot me a PM, and I can send you his info. He's amazing. Easy to build and ship a box for you.

If it sounds half as good as it looks, it has to sound pretty Amazing over the stock junk!
