I ran in the meca sound off nationals this weekend in Louisville ky.
Got first place. Posted a 149.8 at 28hrtz with truck off with 120amps of fusing just thought I'd share this little feat. Those of you who know what a 150 is and what 28hrtz is will understand why I'm happy with this

Nice results! Pretty low frequency, too! Dude...Hanks truck is sick. My eardrums cringed just watching the youtube video.

Do you run Sundown as well? I'm about to put one of their discontinued e8's into my truck.

Yes sir I do run sundown. Go to any stereo comp. And 80% of all equipment is sundown
I have two nightshade 18" in an aero port box with two aq3500d, 3 Deka intimidators next to the box and tomarro the grand total of batteries climbs too 5 dekas I'm making a custom bracket up front for another. All this in a 95 ext cab!!!
yea super low note I need to adjust tuning. My new box design is working just messing with my truck peak.

I think the tuning is great! Though I am partial to boxes tuned to lower frequencies. I bet you can get some pretty decent SQ out of a box like yours.

I'm looking at a JL 600/4 HD to run my system. That would put 300rms to my sub, and 150 to my front stage. I dig the amp because it's an efficient class D, so it won't get hot, while stuffed behind the back seat in my truck. The reviews seem pretty good on it. The price is definitely prohibitive, though.

Any suggestions for a good 4 channel, with similar power characteristics? My main concern is adequate power for my front stage, and not having the amp go thermal since it's in a confined space.

I recommend sundown amps always! I run a 100.2 to my highs why not run two of those one to subs and one to front stage or a 100.4 idk if u have the room behind the seat tho. And my box is actually tuned to 34hrtz the truck peaks 6hrtz below this... Head scratcher, but Yess it has a only a 4db diference between 28hrtz and 55hrtz it will do a 151 at 28 and a 147 at 55hrtz very flat response almost better than sealed lol just twice the output!

I haven't figured out how to post pics yet I use an iPhone and I set up a photobucket so maybe I can get some up tomaro. It's not nearly as pretty as yours it's all wood and no rear panels but she's nasty loud u can see pics and go ehh but when u sit in it an I drop some 26hrtz on u your face tells the whole story lol
